Check Connectors for the
Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 and Dodge Stealth TT

by Jeff Lucius

With the ignition switch off and after removing the cap, insert a +12V jumper wire into the fuel pump check connector to supply current to the fuel pump.

After removing the cap, ground the ignition timing adjustment connector with a jumper wire to place the engine computer into "basic ignition timing" mode. Ground this connector and terminal 10 in the diagnostic connector (1991-1993 models) to put the engine computer into "basic idle speed adjustment" mode.

Insert a paper clip into the engine speed detection terminal to monitor the engine speed with a handheld tachometer. This terminal connects to one coil so the signal represents only 1/3 of the engine speed.
