Performance: 0-60 vs 1/4-Mile ET & MPH

These two charts use the data presented in the August 2002 Road & Track Road Test Summary. I used Microsoft Excel to generate the charts and the trendlines. The spreadsheet is available at misc/performance.xls. Cars with 1/4-mile elapsed times of 13 seconds and under are identified along with their price as tested.

Performance: 0-60 vs 1/4 ET

Performance: 0-60 vs 1/4 MPH

The two charts below use the data presented in various issues of Road & Track Magazine. The spreadsheet is available at misc/performance_lrt2.xls. As shown above, there is good correlation of 0 to 60 times with 1/4-mile elapsed time. The correlation is not as good simply based on a car's weight to power ratio. See my web page Calculators for 1/4-Mile ET & MPH vs. HP and Weight for detailed discussion of these relationships.

Performance: 0-60 vs 1/4 ET    Performance: 0-60 vs weight/power
